Albenga

Despite being the most populous town in the immediate vicinity of golf, Albenga is still a city on a human scale.

Famous for being named the city ‘of a hundred towers’ due to the countless buildings that emerge from the center of the village and return a particularly picturesque skyline, Albenga is located at the mouth of the Centa river and gives its name to the Albenga plain, the only flat stretch of the whole Liguria.

Noteworthy are the Baptistery and the Cathedral of San Michele Arcangelo, historical places of Catholic worship that have their roots respectively in the 5th and 12th centuries.
